SUSTAINABILITY
JFB Enviro specialises in collection of high quality data from both marine and freshwater environments.
Although our priority work contributes to protecting natural resources we realize our activities do have an impact on the environment.
As a business that strives for excellence in environmental data collection, our objective is to continually look to reduce our ecological impact footprint.
We are aware of the objectives set down within the NZ National Freshwater and Coastal Policy Statements and strive to conduct our work in-line with their objectives and regulations.
To meet our objective to reduce our ecological impact footprint we aim to take the following four actions:
Continue to avoid the spread of pest species by using best use decontamination practices,
Planning efficient/sustainable travel movements between locations.
Purchasing low emission/efficient vehicles and equipment were practical (e.g the recent purchase of low emission/fuel efficient outboard motors & solar charging of batteries).
The Reuse of sampling bottles where possible and courier packaging supplies.
All contractors to JFB ENVIRO are made aware of our environmental policy through The JFB ENVIRO health and Safety manual and are encouraged to think about potential improvements to reducing environmental impacts and work more sustainably.
Our Environmental policy is reviewed by the principal director of JFB ENVIRO annually and refined to reflect any changes in our business that occur.
